We are actively involved in carrying out training and technical advice activities with the Labour Foundation for Construction of the Principality of Asturias, a not-for-profit peer institution of a social welfare nature, whose beneficiaries are all the businesses and workers of this sector that are subject to the Collective Bargain of Work for Construction and Public Works of the Principality of Asturias. It was created in the year 1988 with the agreement reached by the business representative Confederación Asturiana de la Construcción - Asturian Confederation for Construction (C.A.C.) and the Asociación de Promotores y Constructores de Edificios Urbanos de Gijón - Association of Developers and Constructors of Urban Buildings of Gijon (ASPROCON), and by the workers' representative Federación Asturiana de Madera, Construcción y Afines de U.G.T. - Asturian Federation of Wood, Construction and Related Articles of the U.G.T. (FAMCA-UGT, since May 98 MCA-UGT), and the Sindicato Regional de Construcción y Madera de CC.OO - Regional Trade Union for Construction and Wood of the CC.OO (nowadays, the Federación de Construcción, Madera y Afines de Comisiones Obreras - Federation for Construction, Wood and Related Articles of Workers Commissions, FECOMA-CC.OO.). Its purpose is to provide services of general interest for workers and businesses of the sector, such as schools, professional, recreational, and cultural training centres, scholarship and support schemes, medical and healthcare services, complementary social security benefits, day-care centres, residential homes, sports facilities, housing groups, and, in general, all social, welfare and professional activity.

The mutual FREMAP is a social security collaborative entity which manages and protects the risks of accidents in work and professional illnesses which businesses are obliged to cover, without representing any additional cost to those that already exist. Alongside this welfare work, in the field of social responsibility and amongst other activities, it maintains a close relationship with the Research Group and the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.

In the framework of this collaboration they have organised many courses and activities, such as a series of breakfast meetings on labour absenteeism, organised together with AEDIPE, in which various members of the group participated.

The Telefónica Foundation has the aim of contributing to construct the future of the regions in which the Telefónica Group operates and promoting the social development of these areas through quality education, using its technological strength and capacity, its territorial presence, and its wide base of employees.

Along these lines, it promotes and publishes studies on subjects that can contribute to helping society progress, a topic on which a study carried out by the group in collaboration with Society and Balance was published.

ARAGONEX (ASOCIACIÓN ARAGÓN EXTERIOR - EXTERNAL ARAGON ASSOCIATION) is an association independent from the Administration, professional organisations of workers and political parties that carry out their activities within the territorial framework of the Comunidad de Madrid. It is composed of Aragonese or children of Aragonese who work as employers or professionals in the Regional Community of Madrid.

With them, we are carrying out the study on productivity and reconciliation of personal and family life, providing a fruitful means of collaboration in which new projects will be undertaken in the future.

Repsol is one of the ten major private petrol companies in the world, and the largest private energy company in Latin America. With the objective of improving its competitiveness and credibility, it is known for having amongst its goals a high level of corporate responsibility, which is displayed in many actions it undertakes. In this area, and in relation to safety in work, a factor which is included in the field of corporate responsibility, it maintains a close relationship with the Research Group and the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.

As part of the master's in the prevention of labour risks which takes place in the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, they come to carry out training courses in prevention which vary in length between three and four months, and some other activities, run mainly at the Repsol YPF Health and Safety Committee, in which various members of the Group participate.

Lex Nova is one of the most important legal commentaries on the Spanish market specialising in the legal-labour field. Recently, the Research group "Labour Law, Economic Changes and New Society" has agreed to a collaboration agreement with Lex Nova, which has the objective to be a channel for circulating works carried out by the researchers of the Group. Through this collaboration, in the words of labour law and social security professor Jesús R. Mercader Uguina, "we intend to make the public aware of the result of the investigations which will come to light in the aforementioned study group".
